Hey! I’m Elizabeth.

You can call me E or the full Elizabeth, or really any variation of the name. My last name, Hasier, which often stumps people- so just an fyi, it is pronounced like the sitcom “Frasier”. Now that name stuff is out the way, hello!

I’m a full-time freelance photographer currently living in Philadelphia. I was born in Chicago and first started taking photos on my dad’s little point-and-shoot when I was about 10. Though photography was always my first love, I decided to pursue a more “practical” college degree and studied international politics focusing on comparative cultural and economic systems of Eurasia (my degree is currently collecting dust beautifully on my shelf).

The whole time I was studying, I was doing more and more photography as a creative outlet to the point where I realized I should follow my passion for it and go all in. So all in I went, and here I am!

  • My partner and I have a greyhound named Paul. Paul raced professionally until we adopted him in 2021. He is @riskitallpaul on TikTok and Insta if you want to see his antics!
  • I worked as a tour guide + photographer for a travel company, guiding trips in Europe + South America.
  • In 2017 I lived in Ecuador and made a documentary about the shrimping industry’s impact on the destruction of local mangrove forests.
  • My dad had 10 siblings and my mom had 15 siblings, I have almost 100 first cousins.
  • I am an elected official! I am a committee person in Philadelphia’s 2nd Ward. It’s the smallest possible political position in Philly, but I help people find voting resources and endorse progressive candidates for City Council, Mayor, Governor, etc.

My Core Values

I VALUE TRUTH IN MY WORK

I value honesty, and sincerity and keep those in the integrity of the way I create images. This also applies to my editing process. One of the most important things to me is editing photos in ways that feel stylized, but true to the colors/light of the day. I work with clients with all different skin tones/hair tones/textures and I want to make sure I capture your beauty fully and exposed correctly.

I VALUE MY CLIENTS PREFERENCES

I value keeping the wedding day client centered. I want my clients to always feel comfortable and confident that I understand the best way to capture them. I often see wedding industry professionals placing their personal wants over those of the clients and I want all my clients to know that I am there to support them in whatever way is uniquely best for them.

I VALUE FLEXIBILITY

A que sera sera attitude, if you will. Weddings are at the mercy of weather, global plagues apparently, flight changes, and  a million other things. For your wedding I will have already thought through the worst case scenarios, so if things go late, if it rains, whatever, we will make it work and it will still be absolutely wonderful.

I VALUE INCLUSIVITY

I work with couples of any sexuality or gender identity. I keep all my documents + language gender neutral. Unfortunately, a lot of the wedding industry is heteronormative and uses terms reflecting the outdated notion that most weddings are between a Cis man and Cis woman. I call my clients Person 1 and Person 2 in all my documents and refer to the folks helping you as the Wedding Party instead of bridesmaids or groomsmen.

Your day, your way.
