Hey! I’m Elizabeth.

You can call me E or the full Elizabeth, or really any variation of the name (I respond to it all).

I’m a full-time freelance photographer currently living in Philadelphia. I was born in Chicago and first started taking photos on my dad’s little point-and-shoot when I was about 10. Though photography was always my first love, I decided to pursue a more “practical” college degree and studied international politics focusing on comparative cultural and economic systems of Eurasia (my degree is currently collecting dust beautifully on my shelf).

The whole time I was studying, I was doing more and more photography as a creative outlet to the point where I realized I should follow my passion for it and go all in.

The whole time I was studying, I was doing more and more photography as a creative outlet to the point where I realized I should follow my passion for it and go all in. So all in I went, and here I am!

  • My partner and I have a rescue greyhound named Paul
  • I worked as a tour guide + photographer for a travel company, guiding trips in Europe + South America
  • In 2017 I lived in Ecuador and made a documentary about the shrimping industry’s impact on the destruction of local mangrove forests
  • My dad has 10 siblings and my mom has 15 siblings, I have almost 100 first cousins.

My Core Values

I VALUE TRUTH IN MY WORK

I value honesty, and sincerity and keep those in the integrity of the way I create images. This also applies to my editing process. One of the most important things to me is editing photos in ways that feel stylized, but true to the colors/light of the day. I work with clients with all different skin tones/hair tones/textures and I want to make sure I capture your beauty fully and exposed correctly.

I VALUE MY CLIENTS PREFERENCES

I value keeping the wedding day client centered. I want my clients to always feel comfortable and confident that I understand the best way to capture them. I often see wedding industry professionals placing their personal wants over those of the clients and I want all my clients to know that I am there to support them in whatever way is uniquely best for them.

I VALUE FLEXIBILITY

A que sera sera attitude, if you will. Weddings are at the mercy of weather, global plagues apparently, flight changes, and  a million other things. For your wedding I will have already thought through the worst case scenarios, so if things go late, if it rains, whatever, we will make it work and it will still be absolutely wonderful.

I VALUE INCLUSIVITY

I work with couples of any sexuality or gender identity. I keep all my documents + language gender neutral. Unfortunately, a lot of the wedding industry is heteronormative and uses terms reflecting the outdated notion that most weddings are between a Cis man and Cis woman. I call my clients Person 1 and Person 2 in all my documents and refer to the folks helping you as the Wedding Party instead of bridesmaids or groomsmen.

Happy You, Happy Me.

Elizabeth is an incredibly talented and professional photographer. I was so at ease with her taking our photos, and it really shows in her work. our photos look organic, authentic and tasteful, she did an amazing job at capturing real moments, and seemed to know exactly where to be at the right time. She traveled to Brooklyn for our wedding, and handled the stress and chaos of a city wedding with ease. She was able to shoot our wedding both digitally and on 35mm and both came out stellar. I really hope we get the opportunity to hire Elizabeth again!
